Breakfast with the Mask
Situation
During breakfast, Ermanno and Oliver are seated at the table. Suddenly, Frau Mutter's voice is heard, rising in pitch as she confronts the waiter with provocative questions. The boys listen, paying particular attention to what Margherita Mutter says. With the mask, her voice sounds definitely kinder.
Lesson
To practice with possessive pronouns, Ermanno asks Oliver:
Ermanno: Ist das mein Kaffee oder ist das dein Kaffee?
Oliver replies: Das ist mein Kaffee. Aber das da ist dein Kaffee.
Ermanno and Oliver repeat the dialogue, changing one word each time. They can also switch roles, with Oliver asking the question to Ermanno.
