The Hotel Brochure
Situation
Ermanno and Oliver are sitting in the Kaminzimmer of the hotel.
On the table they find a Broschüre with colorful pictures and descriptions of the hotel. Every hotel has things in the plural: many rooms (Zimmer), many chairs (Stühle), many glasses (Gläser).
Still, it feels like home. Everything is there – but in large numbers.
Lesson
The texts are written in English, but everywhere they discover German plural words.

Welcome to our hotel Zur Traumbuche.
In this brochure you will find some information about our rooms, facilities, and services.
Restaurant & Lounge
In the lounge you can sit on comfortable Stühle and read Bücher from our Regale.
The restaurant offers Tische with clean Gläser, Teller, and Tassen.
Fresh Brötchen and Flaschen of water are always available.
Rooms
Our hotel has many Zimmer.
All the Zimmer are bright and comfortable.
Inside you will find Betten, soft Kissen, and warm Teppiche.
Large Fenster open to the garden.
Garden & Park
Outside you will see green Bäume, colorful Blumen, and quiet Wege.
There are many Liegestühle under the Laternen.
Children can run across the wide Wiesen.
Sports & Leisure
For active guests, the hotel has two Tennisplätze.
You will find Tennisbälle and Schläger at the reception.
After sport, enjoy our sauna and hot Duschen.
Ermanno's Homework
Ermanno finds a German brochure on the table. But inside the text, some words are in English!
His task:
- Read the German text carefully.
- Find all the English plural words (rooms, chairs, tables …).
- Replace them with the correct German plural forms.
- Frau Mutter comes into the room. Ermanno tells her – in German and with the help of Oliver – what the hotel offers.
