Situation
Ermanno and Oliver have already had dinner. In Germany, dinner is served at 6 p.m. (um achtzehn Uhr)! Afterwards, they retired to their rooms. Ermanno said to Oliver:
"I want to sleep before the evening show that Elisa has organised for the guests. See you at 10 p.m. (um zweiundzwanzig Uhr) in the Kaminzimmer."
Das Kaminzimmer
Es ist zweiundzwanzig Uhr. Da sind: Maler Max, Frau Mutter, Ermanno, Oliver, und Elisa. Der Kellner ist unsichtbar. Elisa lädt die Gäste in das Kaminzimmer ein.
Der Kamin ist kalt.
Oliver: Wo ist das Feuer?
Elisa: Das Feuer brennt für den, der Träume kennt.
Oliver: Ermanno?
Ermanno: The fire burns for him who knows dreams. Ich hatte gerade einen Traum!
Elisa: Erzähl den Traum.
Ermanno beginnt zu erzählen, und das Feuer beginnt zu brennen.
